IKEBANA GALLERY

Ichigo, Ichie

Ikebana is the Japanese traditionnal art of arranging flowers also called "The Kado" meaning "the way of the flowers". There are more than over hundred schools of Ikebana, but there are three major ones which are also the most known : Ikebono, Ohara and Sogetsu. I fell in love with this art earlier this year and decided to work towards becoming a master in Sogetsu Ikebana. Sogetsu Ikebana is for anyone, anywhere at anytime. To preserve and protect this art, it is sadly forbidden for me to post about techniques and rules. However I can still post my creations! so this page will be dedicated to my creations and will serve as my personal journal to remind me of my flower journey!

This creation was my first time ever doing Nageire Style arrangement, and I had such a hard time creating it. As you may not notice, the flowers are not touching the bottom of the vase and are hanging on pefect balance at the top of the vase!
